Once again, we are back at the Royal Seven Stars Hotel, Totnes. Fantastic place. So very comfortable, fabulous rooms, beds divine, you can eat any time from 8.30 a.m. until 9.p.m. in the bar restaurant, or if you like to be "posh" the TQ9 restaurant within the hotel for your evening meal. Breakfasts are to die for. Cannot fault it. We return usually every year. Fabulous place. The staff are so helpful too.

Had a great stay, staff are fantastic, from the receptionist to the two young bearded bar staff on Friday afternoon and the staff in TQ9 on Friday evening, everyone we encountered were genuinely friendly, polite and attentive. A big thank you to Liane, who very kindly upgraded our room for our anniversary. Dinner in TQ9 was excellent in particular the Arancini starter, the best I've tasted in a while.
This ideally located hotel is a delightful place to stay with top notch staff, friendly, professional and immensely competent. Quirkily decorated with real charm and character, plus wonky floors and plenty of artwork on the walls, it's a classic British hotel. Beds are huge, rooms kitted out well, we had a room overlooking the high street but sound double glazing kept out all noise. The hotel is blessed with numerous drinking and dining options and the champagne bar is a great touch with some really fine vintages and superb staff.
Popped in here for morning coffee and actually stayed for lunch. Comfortable sofas, excellent service and very helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch which arrived speedily and was very tasty. All the staff were very attentive and delightful and very keen to ensure we had a positive experience. Prices of drinks and food were all very reasonable. We will certainly be returning here next time we are visiting Totnes.
Broad interesting menu, something for everyone. We were 2 couples, of varying tastes; one person was vegetarian. We ordered a different dish each for main and dessert, so a good sampling of the menu! All dishes were nicely presented, and perfectly cooked. We had the undivided attention of our host Oliver, as we chose a quiet mid-week evening. He has excellent customer service skills. The whole ambience is simply perfect.
