I cannot praise Tamsyn and the wonderful team who catered for our wedding reception enough. They were all fantastic, from check in to check out the whole wedding day was brilliant , all the staff were on the go from morning to night all with a smile and time for all guests including the children who were present. Food was excellent we held our reception in the ballroom so had the use of upstairs bar and covered terrace this was ideal as the weather was ideal for sitting outside well done all round!
Booked three nights here for my husband's 60th birthday present. Staff are very welcoming and helpful at all times. We recently adopted a Spaniel and he was welcomed although we hadn't booked a dog friendly room initially. The food was good - especially breakfast which we took in the saloon bar with our pup. Enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine with a drink or two....a very restful and enjoyable time. Small car park but found a space and used public transport etc to do the usual trips and tours. Highly recommended....Totnes is also a brilliant, exciting town!
Accidental but Lucky Discovery... Because the steam train to Dartmouth had broken down, our party of ten spent last Saturday in Totnes, and discovered the Seven Stars at lunchtime. What a find... although the place was heaving, a charming lady laid up a lovely side room for us, we were made so welcome, and the food was delicious. We have definite intentions of returning for a longer stay to this characterful pub/hotel (but hopefully minus the snow this time....)
I went to the Royal Seven Stars Hotel with my 5 year old boy and the staff at the hotel have treated my boy Benedict and myself like celebrity, more so my boy who does not want to go home. They have gone above and beyond the course of their job to make our stay one of memories. The hotel is filled with history and character and is one that keeps you marveled around every corner. We ate at the hotel on four evenings and could not fault the food on any occasion, with a varied and exciting menu, simply the best! Once again, this hotel is fantastic but the staff with their fabulous customer relations and their personal touch make a visit to the Royal Seven Stars, truly a must!
We shared a ploughman’s platter with some delicious chunky chips for a light lunch. There was a great selection of ham, pork pie, bread, homemade coleslaw (naughty but so nice) and salads. The staff were very polite and helpful. We sat outside and people watched. Totnes is always interesting and we were not disappointed!
I had the great pleasure to stay in the Agatha Christie suite of the best hotel in Totnes. It is central, it is quirky, it is beautiful and I loved it. The room was very large and the bathroom was super. Awesome and huge breakfast. The entire staff should be commended. I loved Totnes. Please go walk the ground of Dartington - it is one of the most beautiful places I have had the pleasure to visit. GREAT TRIP!
